and we need to extend Open Connect to support this exciting new experience.

The Control Plane includes:

• Cloud services that customers directly hit when they press ‘Play’

• Systems for tracking deployment of game builds

• Algorithms for deploying game builds in an efficient manner (e.g. peer-to-peer)

We spend our time trying to answer questions like these:

• How do we design our systems to react to failure, traffic shifts and other changes in real-time?

• How do we provide the best experience to Game Developers who are using the Netflix Cloud Gaming Platform

We are looking for a software engineer hybrid who identifies with the following:

• You build robust, clean, maintainable software.

• You care deeply about testing, metrics, observability, and tooling.

• You are willing to reduce tech debt and improve tech health.

• You care deeply about the customer experience.

• You are comfortable with ambiguity.

• You are able to iterate quickly on ideas and incorporate feedback.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years software development and proficiency with a modern programming language

• Distributed Systems experience (e.g. familiarity with NoSQL, AWS, microservices, etc)

Nice To Have:

• Basic background in networking concepts

• Experience working at scale

• Professional experience with Gaming, Cloud Gaming or CDNs

• Big Data Experience (e.g. Hive, Spark, Presto, etc.)
