Job SummaryThe position will be responsible for the development of hardware systems starting with the development of concepts and taking these concepts through their tollgates all the way to a potential hand-off for production.
What a typical day look like:
- Develop manufacturable mechanical designs to achieve system interface and structural requirements using SOLIDWORKS CAD
- Apply first principles in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer to analyze design concept thermal performance
- Apply analysis and simulation tools (e.g. thermal and structural FEA, CFD) for product development and refinement
- Implement in-house prototyping tools to generate, evaluate, and select concepts
- Assemble engineering drawings and engage with external vendors to procure parts and hardware
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering) and 0-3+ years work experience, or similar background, in thermal and / or fluids engineering
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects
- Excellent first principles knowledge in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer
- Comfortable interfacing with fabrication partners and suppliers to deliver high quality parts on time
- Demonstrated ability with hands-on builds/projects
- Ability to work independently and on small teams
- Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS CAD and drawing packages

Pay Range (Applicable to Massachusetts) $101,200.00 USD - $139,100.00 USD AnnualDesign, Process & Technology Engineering
