The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As aSenior Regulatory Affairs Associate,you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Supportsthe regulatory/productstewardship efforts of the Bonding Tapes & Converter Solutions (BTCS) Business Unit and Adhesives & Specialty Tapes (AST) BU including labels, duct & masking, double coated tapes, and other bonding product solutions. In addition, the position will work with strategic global key account customers.
  • Leads the regulatory compliance, Life Cycle Management and sustainability requirements for existing and new products. Technical activities include interpreting regulations, performing assessments of safety to human health and the environment, addressing liability avoidance and supporting sustainable business decisions.
  • Develops and maintains documentation relevant to assessment of risk to human health and the environment.
  • Follows, analyzes and communicates the impact of chemical of concerns and upcoming regulations to the business teams.
  • Supports the global technical and business teams in a large variety of regulated markets, including construction, automotive, electronics, consumer, medical device, and food contact.
  • Builds collaborative relationships with corporate EHSR support functions, including serving on corporate teams.
  • Pursuing continuing education efforts to develop advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements, product responsibility skills and knowledge, and business, including an understanding of technologies applicable to the laboratories served.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Completed three semesters or more post-secondary courses in chemistry
  • One (1) years’ experience in a regulated industry in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's degree or higher in chemistry, physical, biological, human health, toxicology, pharmacology, environmental health or engineering science from an accredited University
  • Certificate in Toxicology, Public Health, Environment, Safety or other EHS program
  • Experience with CDMS database
  • Experience working in regulatory, medical device, product responsibility or EHSR corporate staff in work history
  • Strong Project Management Skills

Work location:

  • Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to 3M Center at least 2 days per week)
  • Maplewood, MN
