Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience
    • OR bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience
    • OR bachelor’s degree in information technology, or related field AND 6+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience
    • OR master’s degree in business administration (e.g., MBA), Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience
  • 3+ years of solution sales or consulting services sales experience

Subject matter expertise in any of the following is preferred:

  • SQL including OSS (postgres, MySQL etc), Azure SQL
  • NoSQL Databases including OSS (Maria, Mongo etc), Cosmos DB
  • Big Data including SQL DW, Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift
  • Advanced Analytics including Azure Data Bricks, visualization tools as PowerBI, Tableau
  • Data Governance
  • Data Engineering
  • Data Science
  • Machine Learning including Azure ML, ML Server
  • Artificial Intelligence including BOT framework, Cognitive Services, Cognitive Search
  • Expertise in data estate workloads like HDInsight, Hadoop, Cloudera, Spark, Python
  • Competitive Landscape - Knowledge of cloud development platforms.
  • Partners - Understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer first mindset: Drive customer satisfaction and digital sales excellence by engaging key decision-makers, providing a seamless engagement experience, and leveraging top-tier data and marketing platforms.
  • Trusted Technical Advisor: Influence customer decisions for Microsoft Azure solutions by winning technical decisions for consumption projects. Tailor messaging, engage in technical discussions, and align solutions partners and resources for decision support and consumption planning.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Digital Specialists and the extended sales team to analyse business potential and target high-value customers. Enhance team capabilities, prioritize customer, and partner engagement, and utilize tools and processes for business growth.
  • Azure Solutions Leadership: Lead Azure technical demonstrations to showcase capabilities aligned with customer objectives. Collaborate with account teams and partners to expand opportunities, build pipelines, and foster customer relationships through social selling. Apply Microsoft's sales framework to assess opportunity quality.
  • Customer Engagement: Initiate customer conversations to showcase additional workloads that support digital transformation, tailored to the customer's industry, and convert opportunities into deals. Utilize a deep understanding of the customer's business and priorities to drive digital transformation discussions across various solutions, in collaboration with partners and services. Inspire digital transformation through seminars, workshops, webinars, and direct engagement.
  • Relationship Building: Forge relationships with leadership and stakeholders to support team success with both internal and external parties. Work with account teams to connect with senior business decision-makers and scale impact through partners, securing commitments with the help of technical specialists.
  • Deal Orchestration: Apply an orchestration model to proactively ensure deal closure, aligning internal stakeholders, leveraging partner relationships, and creating demand with industry-specific use cases.
