Nokia Working Student – EMF feature performance 5G networks

Within Nokia EMF team, the apprentice role will be to:

• develop tools for the analysis of measurement data collected during the performance evaluation campaigns of 5G EMF features in lab conditions (anechoic chamber or outdoor),
• end-to-end automation of the test platform (equipment drivers, results collection and analysis of measurement results and counters, production of the test report),
• conduct performance evaluation campaigns of new features, analyze results and propose improvements.

Planned duration: 2 years

Under the responsibility of his/her tutor, the missions during this apprenticeship will be as follows:

• Training on the measurement platform under the supervision of the test engineer (test equipment, mobile terminals, base station configuration, test protocol, uncertainty analysis),
• Collection and processing of measurement results and counters collected on the test platform,
• Development and maintenance of test automation and data analysis tools,
• Writing of the test report,
• Automation of the test platform,
• Conduct performance assessment campaigns.

Mandatory:

• Master or engineering degree in telecom networks, electronics, automation, informatics,
• English, fluent.

Nice to have:

• Good experience in IT and programming tools (Excel, PowerBI, VBA, Python, Matlab, script, …),
• Knowledge in data science,
• Knowledge of radio measurement equipment (power meter, spectrum analyzer, 5G decoder, network analyzer),
• Knowledge of radio propagation, antennas and electronics,
• Knowledge of 5G mobile networks (architecture and techniques).
