Cost Management Leadis a field-based role for theThis role is not eligible for hybrid or remote work.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing the estimating or commercials on a major construction portfolio

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12+ years experience working on data center projects. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+years experienceworking on data center projects.
  • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) full membership or equivalent
  • Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) full membership or equivalent

Construction Project Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $121,800 - CAD $219,100 per year.

Responsibilities
  • Deep understanding of the commercial management of the General Contractor (GC) from liaison with our procurement office on the Request for Proposal (RFP) documents through to the final payments and agreement of the final accounts and paperwork. This will alsoinclude :

    • Reportstothe EPC Sub- Regional Cost Management Lead
    • Detailed estimation of the project based on local design documents.
    • Agreement of estimates with theGC atduring design development and agreement of the contract sum.
    • Pay application assessment and approval for the GC, all equipmentvendorsand all project support consultants.
    • Estimation of and commercial agreement of all change orders.
    • Draft commercialdetailand supporting documents for all funding requests.
    • Review and agreement of all GC procurement of the subcontract packages including the approval of thesub contractLetters of Authorization (LOAs).
    • Commercial review of all disputes that may arise.
  • Commercial management of all other program vendors including:

    • Presenting proposals to head office for purchase order approval.
    • Approving invoices for all project vendors.
    • Final account agreement & closeout for all vendor accounts.
    • Manage the Cost Management firm contracted to provide commercial support in the region.
    • Assistin the procurement of Cost Management firm.
    • Manage the resourcesallocatedto the projects to ensure that they areappropriate innumber and quality.
    • Regular Monthly Business Updates (MBUs) withthe costmanagement firms.
    • Cost Reporting: Work with the Cost management firm,GCand project controls to ensure that the full suite of cost reportsareavailable for review by Redmondon a monthly basis.
    • Commercial support to the PER (funding) team toascertainthe required timing of the funding intervals and all commercial information needed to back up these funding requests to management. This will normally involve the production ofmultipleoptioncost scenarios.
    • Design Team commercial support: From project kick-off through to final design provide commercial support on business cases, value engineering studies and change control as the design evolves though to final decision.
    • Site selection support: Work with our site selection team in the region to provide constructability reports andsite specificcomparative estimates on candidate sites. Also provide all funding and Purchase Order (PO) support necessary for this team to perform in the region.
    • Commercial Process control: Review the current commercial processes in the region and develop these into a commercial playbook.On agreement of this playbook the candidate shall be responsible for the consistent implementation of same.
