The Public Sector Lockbox business is a multi-shift, 363 days-per-year operational unit which provides a variety of services to government clients to assist them in managing their receivables and sensitive documents. The core functions of this business include Mailroom, Batching, Scanning, Dispatch and Data Entry. Most functions occur in a POD or small team environment. A successful candidate must be able to work weekends/holidays, additional hours as required and successfully complete the government-required background check. The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned as necessitated by business demands.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate new hire and cross functional education as needed. Accountable for increasing the overall performance of the new hire employees to meet established new hire standards for productivity and quality. Actively participate in all training and development initiatives.
- Perform the following functions with strong proficiency:
- client impacting quality control functions including exception handling and transaction verification
- end of day balancing, reconciliation and preparation of client transmissions
- specialty functions within the operations process
- perform as a subject matter expert for most functions
- Professionally provide feedback and guidance to other processors related to the quality/productivity output of their work
- Perform end to end document and payment processing across all core functions for Public Sector Lockbox, with strong proficiency in all functions (mail receipt, document assembly, image capture, data entry and outbound shipping preparation, etc.). Serve as liaison with other sites to meet data entry production and quality expectations.
- As a critical member of the operations team, accountable for meeting or exceeding quality and productivity standards.
- Demonstrate high level of focus and attention to detail, ensuring strong quality and minimizing rework
- Readily adapts to changes in deadlines and changes in daily work assignments
- Safely operate mail center automated equipment; to include troubleshooting and escalation
- Expected to escalate observed issues timely and appropriately
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements yielding increased productivity and efficiency for the operation
- Professionally interact and positively collaborate with team members, peers and managers across shifts and sites to ensure client timelines and quality requirements are met
- Support higher level tasks as needed

Qualifications:
Required
- Demonstrated history of strong interpersonal skills and positive peer engagement experience in a diverse environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented operation with strict deadlines and service levels
- Flexible and adaptable, able to multi-task and prioritize in a high paced processing environment with strict deadlines and service levels
- Demonstrated history of working well within a team environment, working towards a common goal requiring respectful communication and teamwork
- Excellent attention to detail, targeting straight-through-processing
- Intermediate PC Proficiency; including MS Office and Lockbox Applications
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Prior Lockbox, payment processing, banking experience or operations experience
- Previous audit and quality control experience preferred
- Self-motivated, goal oriented with strong time management skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate weekends/holidays and additional hours as required
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job, lifting up to 40 pounds, performing repetitive bending and lifting related tasks as well as walking and standing for long periods of time
- Manual dexterity required, all tasks are repetitive
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (green card) is a prerequisite for this position
- Must be able to speak/write/understand English
- Must pass an extensive background check including criminal, credit and drug (renewed every 5 years)
- High School diploma or GED
