• Supports repair partners with technical training in the areas of system operation, board plus component diagnosis and test development.• Responsible for the introduction of new product repair, creating process maps, technical documentation and training. Fully integrates with product technical owner to develop Hardware Services (HWS) test facilities to better meet the repair requirements of the repair partners.• Responsible for the resolution and reporting of technical matters affecting repair output and quality.• Ensures the integrity of testing and repair of customer units.• Assists Product Manager and supervisors and working with the partners for continuous improvement of test and repair processes, quality, and cycle time to reduce costs on outsource repair.• On a project basis, travels to vendor sites to provide technical support.• Provides emergency back-up when partners meet with issues that fall beyond the scope of their capabilities, this may result in travelling to the partners repair site.• In conjunction with other groups utilises the C-gate process to implement new product introduction and ensures Hardware Services (HWS) has repair capability prior to general product rollout.• Timely modifications in the form of hardware, software or firmware to ensure test equipment / systems meet high specifications.• Assists the Product Manager and team leaders in areas of health and safety, personnel career progression development and discipline within the team.• Assists with planning and development of new Hardware Services (HWS) ventures, such as further global outsource, feasibility studies and screening cells and thereafter implement plans.• Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes and services.• Has in-depth organisational and relevant market knowledge and uses understanding on how relevant areas can be integrated to achieve objectives.• Contributes to strategic decisions within professional area.• Solves complex problems based on sophisticated analytical thought and complex judgment.• Contributes to development of concepts to determine professional direction of own organisational unit.• Acts as a professional leader for staff / workteam / taskforces, often the most senior specialist in a team, who serves as best practice resource within own organisational unit and / or is recognised as an expert within the same professional area in the business.• Often leads functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk and complexity, handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work.

Recognised expert in their field (depth & breadth). Typically requires 10+ years extensive relevant experience and/or a graduate / postgraduate equivalent degree.
