Modality Sales Specialist, Patient Monitoring (Vietnam)

Develop and execute a strategic and tactical sales plan to exceed financial targets that include sales of products / product portfolio of assigned BG/BU. You will also support the Modality Sales Manager and Account Managers in pre and post sales activities, driving overall business and product deal support by providing clinical and technical product (modality) expertise on the product / modality across the accounts.

You will be reporting directly to Monitoring Modality Sales Manager (MM), Vietnam.

You are responsible for:

  • Product (Modality) Sales is the knowledge expert on product, who supports Account Managers in driving overall business and product deal support by providing clinical and technical product (modality) expertise on the product / modality across the accounts.
  • Participate in defining and controlling the implementation of the business policy, pricing strategy and product/modality to be sold by the BU in the region, according to established guidelines
  • Work together with AMs, inform and recommend customers the latest technological innovations developed and its associated configurations, including the possible upgrades of the installed base, attending the complaints and inquiries made, in order to obtain a higher level of customer satisfaction and contribute to achieve the sales targets.
  • Assists AMs with customer presentations and product demonstration specifically focused on the clinical and technical components of the value proposition. Understand and address competitive positioning and marketing strategy of respective product / modality, and supports where needed in identification of the tender strategy and quotation
  • Support MM and AMs in the achievement of business goals including balanced selling and BG/BIU AOP attainment and validating product forecasts.
  • Partners with Marketing to with input on sales tools, pricing issues and competitive threats which enable Marketing to best support the Specialists and provide input to the BG/BIU
  • Work together with Marketing team to organize workshops/seminars to promote products/solutions in territory.
  • Assist in launching products with Modality Sales Manager and Marketing team and cluster heads effectively to the relevant target segment and control for success
  • Monitor competition and changes in the industry, and provide effective feedback to the sales and marketing organizations that include suggestions for expanding product offerings.
  • Provide product training to Channel Partners and customers.
  • Manage and monitor demo units and inventory
  • Drives continuous improvements via Lean

Job Overview & Know-How:

  • Support MM and AMs in achieving the sales target of the assigned product modalities
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical sales plans
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Working with Account team to achieve services sales quotas
  • Able to analyze and develop insights in market structure and applications of the assigned products.
  • Has deep expert knowledge of company products and services.
  • Has knowledge of the relevant marketing and sales techniques.
  • Initiate the required internal actions, monitor the progress and push for the deliverables.
  • Has to give presentations on local management level, including presentations of technical information.
  • Developing professional expertise, applying company policies and procdures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Ability to gain cooperation with others


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree Level education or equivalent
  • Should have at least 5 – 7 years’ experience in Medical Devices, Product Management, Sales, Business Development, and/or Clinical Field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Critical Care/ICU Devices (Patient Monitoring, Ventilators, Anesthesia, Infusion Pumps, and/or Operating Room Equipment) highly required
  • Enthusiastic, Engaging, and Energetic and must possess strong leadership qualities
  • Experience in clinical field, especially in ICU/CCU environment and emergency care
  • Excellent organizational skills, written and oral presentation skills with the ability to present to multiple audiences
