As Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will drive the design, accelerate development, and lead execution of mechanical subsystems for next-generation semiconductor tools. You’ll empower engineers to innovate, optimize performance, and deliver precision hardware that meets exacting standards for speed, accuracy, and reliability!
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and encourage a team of mechanical engineers to deliver robust designs for highly innovative capital equipment.
- Own and implement mechanical development activities from concept through release, ensuring alignment with performance, cost, and schedule goals.
- Architect and validate high-precision components such as optical assemblies, frames, gas.fluid delivery systems, vacuum chambers, thermal systems, and motion assemblies.
- Collaborate multi-functionally with systems, electrical, controls, optics, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless subsystem integration.
- Implement and carry out outstanding design practices, including tolerance analysis, FEA, DFM, and GD&T.
- Mentor and grow engineering talent through hands-on coaching, technical guidance, and career development planning.
- Review and approve critical design artifacts—3D models, detailed drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
- Partner with suppliers to source high-quality parts, optimize manufacturability, and resolve technical issues swiftly.
- Shape and steer long-term mechanical engineering strategy and R&D roadmap for future platforms.
Preferred Experience:- Experience in ultra-clean or vacuum-based environments (UHV, cleanroom).
- Familiarity with PLM/PDM tools.
- Experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement in a manufacturing or R&D setting.

Qualifications:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MS/PhD a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in high-precision mechanical design; 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
- Solid experience in crafting mechanical systems for semiconductor, aerospace, medical, or high-tech equipment.
- Deep understanding of materials, precision motion, thermal control, and vacuum technologies.
- Strong command of CAD tools (e.g., NX, Creo, SolidWorks) and simulation software (ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL).
- History of leading intricate projects, deliver results, and elevate team performance.
- Excellent communicator with a track record of driving multi-functional alignment and influencing team members.
