About the role:
Reporting to the Global IT Director, the Principal Solution Architect focused on Enterprise Customer Identity & Personalization Solutions is responsible for defining and modeling business capabilities, processes, and assists in enterprise-wide strategic planning process. Works with business stakeholders to identify business opportunities, define high level business needs, and assist in developing business cases. Also ensures that business capabilities and processes are optimized and aligned with the broader organization's goals and objectives. This role will be a key partner during the product commercialization process aligning business outcomes with solution components required to efficiently achieve those outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Promote and support the principles and standards of Enterprise Architecture aligned with the organizations strategy through sound decisions and planning of the optimal architecture for customer identity and personalization solutions.
- Manage the architectural design, development, and deployment to support the delivery of an end-to-end capability. Lead estimation efforts, working with architects to scope and business to prioritize.
- Consult on testing strategy with functional workstream leads and cross-functional team for strategic projects. Support technical and UAT testing aligned with testing strategy.
- Provide support on issues before, during, and after deployment and partner to identify long term solutions, reducing system/integration instability. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and recognize possible or existing architectural problem areas and determine ways to effectively control and resolve them.
- Architecturally consult and support regional, divisional, functional projects and initiatives including working with workstream leads to develop functional roadmap accounting for new solution capabilities and sustaining projects (i.e. system upgrades).
- Support and strengthen technical knowledge base across the organization including maintaining documentation and delivering communications and/or training.
- Support our system administrators, analysts, and technical support teams in resolving user system and process issues. Lead the team through scoping, gap assessments and prioritizing technical solutions that will help us ensure scalability for the future.
- Provide IT Point of View on emerging technology to assist in the strategic business plans while fostering a community that shares best practices and drives innovative ideas for further improving our CIAM platform.
- Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System and appropriate regulations for the areas supported.
- Approve technical path and implementation as part of formal validation process.
- Act as liaison between the business stakeholders and technical developers to transform and develop requirements into designs, development approaches, and implementation.
- Partner with product development team to provide architectural oversight and guidance, ensuring alignment across efforts and teams.
- Partner with data teams to support the build & document the product data strategy
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or a related discipline
- 10 years architecture experience
- Thorough understanding on CIAM business processes, use cases and hands on implementation experience in Web Access Management areas like Authentication, Authorization, SSO, Federation, Multi Factor Authentication, Risk based Authentication, Identity Proofing, Web Fraud Management etc. using any leading access management products.
- Experience and in-depth understanding of IAM security protocols & technologies (Eg: SAML, OAuth, OIDC, ID Federation, SSO, MFA)
- Ability to create architectures for complex solutions leveraging approved strategic and standard technologies
- Creation of UML use case diagram(s), component diagram(s), sequence diagram(s) including textual details for each step.
- English Level desire 90% or above

- Experience in the medical device or life sciences industry
- Experience working in an Agile environment
