Job DescriptionAs a Intern / Co-op, you will receive projects that pertains to X-ray tube development & quality enhancement at GE HealthCare. Assignments may include:
- Mechanical design utilizing Creo / Windchill.
- Simulation / analysis (FEA and CFD) and testing in the lab.
- Thermal management.
- Design optimization & improvement for reducing cost, increasing yield and enhancing performance & reliability.
- Rapid prototyping.
- Design verification.
- Engineering change control.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (with a focus on hardware) or equivalent degree, having completed at least two years of undergrad program.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms
- Demonstrated analytical ability and technical competency in Hardware engineering areas
- Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and in teams
- Proven leadership skills and/or experience
- Able to work for 6 months, summer to fall 2025.
- Must be willing to be based in the Milwaukee, WI . Relocation assistance not available.

Desired Characteristics
- A prior internship or co-op with hardware and/or design experience
- Overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale)
