Operate and monitor all HVAC, Hydronic, and other utility equipment in a 24hr production facility to ensure reliable service to all areas of the site. Systems include: Chilled water, Heating water, Compressed Air, Medium Voltage Electrical distribution, VOC abatement, chemical delivery, and chemical recovery systems
Ensure systems operate reliably to avoid manufacturing/facility (or operations) impacts by meeting uptime goals Provide support for new equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and sustaining operations
Identify and implement opportunities to achieve lowest cost of ownership to key stakeholders while maintaining reliability. (Results are delivered through the application of engineering skills and tools)
Own safety within area of influence
Oversight of planning, design, reconfiguration, construction, maintenance, and modifications to equipment, machinery, facilities systems, buildings, and structures as required to support business requirements
Troubleshoot alarms and instrument readings that fall outside of normal operating parameters
Improve the reliability of equipment and systems through statistical validation
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or related field or 4 years of equivalent work experience
Must understand basic mechanical, electrical, SCADA and automated controls system operations
Open to schedule flexibility that will allow for a variety of shifts, including days, nights, or weekends as needed
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to prepare and present reports and/or PowerPoint type presentations is essential
Excellent computer skills using the Microsoft Office platform (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.)
Competency in using most of the following software tools is desirable: Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Navisworks
Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
Ability to wear a full-face air-purifying respirator while performing mildly or moderately exertional tasks for 4 consecutive hours, up to 12 hours per day
Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 10+ hours per day. Lift at least 10 lbs on a regular basis, perform repetitive hand and wrist motions and sometimes may have to twist and bend body, ability to climb ladders/stairs, work in loud environment. Must be able to discern audible alarms
Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, including but not limited to: Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for extended periods of time. Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures. Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing. Demonstrated ability to handle and manipulate tooling, quickly and accurately during new hire training and maintaining ability throughout employment. Potential exposure to confined spaces and hazardous materials
