Underwrite and improve credit decision making, review portfolio
Perform in-depth analysis of financial statements, bank statements, business model and other credit parameters on the application, counter parties, related parties, market knowledge, with objective to build quality portfolio
Have knowledge of credit risk related laws & regulatory requirements
Design loans that suit the borrowers needs, prepare loan agreements
Perform due diligence on potential borrowers and properties, legal document reviews, and title searches
Use financial ratios, market trends, and industry benchmarks to evaluate likelihood of a borrower’s ability to repay a loan, considering factors such as debt-to-income ratio, property value and cash flow
Apply internal risk models to evaluate borrower risk profiles.and creditworthiness,
Perform risk analysis, evaluate credit metrics, and provide insights for credit decision-making and portfolio management
Prepare and review credit memos
Awareness on types of collaterals and the effect with defaulted / classified accounts
Adequate knowledge on write-off methodology & application
Awareness on default meaning, types, detection & reporting
Awareness on restructured loans, types, implications & reporting
Required skills and experience:
Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field
4-6 years of experience in credit analysis within Corporate Banking, Credit Risk, or a Rating Agency.
Credit writing experience, including credit memos, loan annual reviewsExpertise in credit analysis of Large Corporates, SMEs, FI’s, project finance etc.
Ability to consult with business and technical teams of all levels including senior management
Knowledge of regulatory requirements in credit analysis
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
Professional English language written and verbal skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Good-to-have:
Certificates in risk management like CFA & FRM are a plus
Risk management and Controls knowledge/experience
Willingness to travel to meet client needs
