Description
This role involves monitoring and enforcing policies that protect consumers from unfair practices, overseeing complaint resolution processes, and ensuring that the organization’s products and services adhere to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to identify and address gaps in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring adherence to Consumer Protection Regulations across various organizations.
- Provide regular and comprehensive updates to client executives, summarizing the status of Consumer Protection Regulation adherence and highlighting any critical issue
- Conduct thorough reviews of client policies and procedures pertaining to Consumer Protection, incorporating feedback from internal audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory feedback
- Delivery of detailed reports, dashboards, and other materials relevant to Consumer Protection Regulations within agreed-upon timelines for clients
- Offer expert analysis on the interpretation and application of Consumer Protection Regulations to ensure effective solutions and implementation for clients
- Identify areas of risk and implement control measures, working in partnership with client stakeholders to maintain continuous compliance with Consumer Protection standards
- Support in the audit-related activities for clients, coordinating with various units to develop action plans that address and correct non-compliant or partially compliant audit findings.
Required skills and experience:
- MBA/PGDM in Finance or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in compliance/regulatory risk advisory roles within the financial sector
- In-depth understanding of Market Conduct & Consumer Protection Regulation and its associated standards
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex regulatory concepts to a diverse client base.
