Join the Decision Support team and work with innovative professionals who provide data analytics-driven solutions and insights that enhance our clients’ decision making. You will both drive and contribute to an efficient, innovative and team-oriented work environment. In this role you will serve as a member of and manage multiple client engagement teams to innovate and develop new solutions to be delivered to clients, as well as support internal data-focussed initiatives.

As a Data Analytics Consultant or a Senior Data Analytics Consultant in the Sydney or Melbourne office, you’ll play a key role with our government and private sector clients, providing high quality analytical and strategic analysis through the development of data analytics models and analytics solutions in relation to our clients' issues, projects and new strategic initiatives. Throughout all projects you will leverage your understanding of quantitative analysis to provide value-adding insights to support decision making and solve a broad range of commercial and financial issues.

Your primary focus will be providing advanced analytical tasks including but not limited to: statistical and machine learning models; geo-spactial models; development of analytical solutions to support our clients with data-driven insights; and

  • Conduct data analysis on large and complex datasets to address client challenges in dynamic markets.
  • Use and develop Generative AI technologies to improve efficentcies.
  • Use programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL for data analysis, adhering to coding standards.
  • Perform data exploration, cleaning, and manipulation, using statistical models and conducting model parameter tuning and selection.
  • Effectively communicate technical modelling results and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Apply geospatial analysis techniques, such as catchment area and drive-time analysis, to enhance data insights.
  • Develop financial models to enable analysis for various purposes (eg, to support business case development, strategic options or transactions)
  • Leverage Microsoft Cloud technologies such as Azure, ADF, and Azure Databricks for data analytics solutions.

  • Proven experience in analysing large datasets and building data-driven analyses.
  • Experience with Python, R, or SQL for data analysis.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate the implications of technical results to non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of AI and Large Language Models, including their business applications and use cases, with a passion for getting into the details of model tuning and development.
  • Good understanding of financial modelling using MS Excel.
  • Experience with Power BI (or similar), Alteryx and familiarity with Microsoft Cloud technology (Azure, ADF, Databricks) will be a plus.


Ideally you will also have

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in analytics, modelling, consulting, accounting or government environments.
  • A Baseline or above level of Security Clearance, or an ability to obtain a security clearance, is preferable but not mandatory
  • Strong business acumen and a desire to thrive in a fast-paced client, strategy and transactions-oriented environment.
