The main function of
Security CCTV Access Control Field Service Technician position is to respond and resolve complex service calls providing technical support, upgrades and troubleshooting to Honeywell security systems (CCTV, access control, etc.) for our commercial customers in Columbia SC and across the state of SC as required. You will report directly to our Sr Field Service Supervisor in the West Columbia, SC office.

Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of small service jobs, time and material work, and preventive maintenance may be assigned as well. These customers will have various products installed that fall into the – HVAC, automation controls, life safety, fire, and security systems category as well as their associated computer systems. Our goal is to ensure system up-time and efficiency and ongoing customer confidence in a secure and safe environment with Honeywell.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot security CCTV and access control systems
• Conduct system testing and ensure proper functionality
• Provide technical facilitation and assistance to customers
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of security solutions
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, and provide recommendations for improvement

YOU MUST HAVE

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• 5 + years’ experience hands on experience with automated security systems (CCTV, access control) hardware and software
• Ability to troubleshoot and conduct repairs
• Ability to travel throughout the service area, with occasional overnight stays as needed
• Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell
