You will regularly interact with our customers, and engineering and business leadership. You will participate in the planning and execution of technology projects and operational excellence initiatives. You’ll own the delivery of software on a critical path of our transportation systems. You will lead a team of 6-8 engineers, you will help them to develop their skills and continue to raise the bar.To accomplish this, you will be expected to have an established background in building highly scalable systems and applications, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex software systems, is customer-centric, and feels strongly about building good software as well as making that software achieve its operational goals. Experience with building and operating services-based applications, especially at massive scale will be very applicable and helpful.

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
