Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field AND accounting or finance experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field AND accounting or finance experience.
• Professional accounting certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.
• Solid Microsoft Office application skills, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field AND extensive accounting or finance experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field AND extensive accounting or finance experience.
• Experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
• Experience in the technology or software industry.
• ASC 606 experience/ practical application
• Project Management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and communicate across a broad spectrum of audiences.
• Demonstrated planning and organizational skills with ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Critical thinking, comfortable dealing with complexity and ambiguity with tenacity to find answers and reach conclusions and operational excellence.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player.

• Evaluate customer agreements, including amendments to those agreements, document the proper technical revenue conclusions, and prepare revenue adjustments in accordance with ASC 606 MSFT revenue policies, and customer/field intent.
• Develop and maintain depth and breadth of knowledge over MS products, services and policies.
• Engage with deal desk for upfront consultation on deals to drive compliance within MS empowerment guidance.
• Support key systems transformation projects by ensuring solutions for complex accounting issues are included in the design.
• Contribute to process-improvement efforts by collecting and reviewing business partner and team feedback and incorporating industry best practices.
• Assist with internal and external audit queries on revenue recognition, for both US GAAP and Local GAAP.
• Identify and assess financial statement risk to provide input on initiatives to enhance control compliance with US and Local GAAP and SOX.
