Automation Technicianlocated inBuffalo Grove, IL.
Reporting to theAutomation Technicianrole involves providing automation engineering services activities including high speed assembly equipment and manufacturing systems.
What a typical day looks like:
- Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation/robotic system components.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components and return to serviceability.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance actions on all subsystems and related components.
- Ensure preventative maintenance of robotic and process support equipment are completed on a regularly scheduled basis.
- Collaborate with the engineering team in the qualification process of automated systems.
- Draft qualification protocols and manage equipment qualification activities.
- Document equipment issues and propose robust solutions.
- Development of preventative and predictive maintenance procedures
- Provide ongoing manufacturing support as a top-level SME. Use of advanced problem-solving techniques to address issues with machines and processes.
- Support creation of engineering documentation required to implement changes and improvements.
- Support the training and development of other technicians.
- Support validation activities for new equipment and equipment updates.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Associates degree, military training, equivalent vocational training, or equivalent experience.
- Typically requires 6 years of related experience.
- Understanding of PLCs
- Experience working in manufacturing of medical products highly desirable.
