Job Summary:
As a Craft Apprentice at Honeywell, in Yeovil, you will have the opportunity to gain a range of nationally recognised qualifications and a hands-on learning experience within our supportive and friendly teams.
This role is part of our Early Careers Relations program, designed to help people launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This apprenticeship is set up for a duration of 4 years starting from 4th August 2025.
The Apprenticeship & Routes:
This apprenticeship services two career paths, . Honeywell will provide you with the college courses to gain the NVQ qualifications below,
alongside a salary, with annual uplifts, and competitive benefits. On the job, you will be fully trained within a supportive and nurturing team.
Aerospace Manufacturing Fitter:
This role involves the assembly & test of a range of precision Mechanical / Electrical assemblies used in a variety of Aerospace applications. Items are produced in accordance with manufacturing instructions, specifications, and Customer/Regulator Requirements.
Level 2 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering (Foundation Competence)
Level 2 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering (Foundation Knowledge)
Level 3 Diploma in Aerospace Manufacturing (Development Competence)
Level 3 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation (Development Knowledge)
Aerospace Machinist:
This role involves CNC turning of Aerospace Equipment, in accordance manufacturing instructions, Specifications and Customer/Regulator Requirements, working within an empowered team environment to meet delivery requirements.
Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
Level 2 Diploma in Machining (Foundation Knowledge)
Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)
Level 3 Diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge)
Key skills and qualifications
Four GCSE’s at Grade 4/C and above or equivalent; must include Maths, Science and English. An interest in aerospace would be advantageous.
Full and permanent right to work in the UK
Ideally hold a full UK driving licence, (not essential if you are currently working towards gaining this)
