Position Overview:

As a Lean Leader, you will be responsible for driving the transformation system of GEHC International, supporting the Gemba Teams and Leadership to focus on the most important aspects of the value stream, owning the Kaizen funnel and roadmap, and ensuring execution on prioritized transformations. You will help accelerate the development of a Lean mindset across International, and act as catalyst of collaboration across functions, product segments and geographical zones.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Value Stream : bring outstanding clarity on the value stream, identifying where we have opportunities for transformation, and crystalizing these opportunities into the Kaizen funnel and the enterprise Project Plan. As always in value streams, make that assessment through the eyes of Customers.

  • Kaizen Funnel : maintain the funnel, ensure prioritization with key stakeholders, move the funnel to execution by aligning the right resources and teams, and provide the relevant coaching and mentoring. Ensure we have to-the-point kaizen charters.

  • Kaizen Execution : support Kaizen leaders and teams with the preparation work. Provide lean leadership during Kaizens; support with the relevant Lean tools, methods and mindset. Ensure a culture of sustainment post-Kaizen, and that transformations are properly handed over to operational teams.

  • Transformation Review : organize and run the transformation reviews with the leadership team of International. Use these reviews to take key decisions, and to accelerate progress. Review the funnel and sharpen the roadmap.

  • Lean Practitioners: actively engage with, inspire and coach a broader bench of talented practitioners to further disseminate Lean across the organization.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Lean certification will be considered a plus but is not a pre-requisite.

  • Experience: minimum of 10 years of experience in a functional role (preferably in FP&A, commercial, services and/or operations) with a proven track record of successful lean practice in a commercial environment and/or operations.
