You may develop content in closeto fill a specific business need. A successful candidate willstakeholders, conduct interviews,create publication plansmilestones for one or more types of media. Youmust be able to work with limited supervision andassignments and projects. A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, be able to work collaboratively across the organization, and forge cross-team relationships with a broad range ofincluding SMEs inUX, product managers, engineers, program managers, and more.You may be the single point of contact for theProduct Lifecycle/Release Management, Support Enablement,Community Support.

What will you do in Digital Services?

  • Independently design, write, and publish product documentation for all products in the F5 product suite.

  • Demonstrate ability to help define and maintain brand, voice, writing policy, styles, and standard language for written documentation and video publication.

  • dvocatefor the use of and adherence to style guides when editing content written by others.

  • and recordvideos to support all products in the F5productsuiteand for the MyF5 site.

  • best practices to F5 customer portals and web properties, focusing on consistency and enabling customer success.

  • Decipher complex technical data and transform it into usable documentationand videosfor online presentation.

  • Research existingcontentto fill content gaps and ensure consistent presentation of content.

  • Mentor and train staff in knowledge management tools, writing,video production,and publishing practices.

  • May supervise and delegate contentproductionto junior or staff-level content specialists.

We're looking for this experience:

Significant demonstrated experience in one of the two following fields, and moderate experience in the remaining field:

  • Text basedproduct documentation,knowledgebasearticles,journalism, and social media

  • Video content production for web publication

Text and graphic based content production skills and abilities:

  • Significant experience with content management and publishing/delivery systems (Salesforce Knowledge, Adobe AEM, Wrike, Outlook, Sharepoint)

  • Demonstrated experience with content creation systems such as Dreamweaver, InDesign, etc.

  • Moderate knowledge of editing HTML source code.

Video content production skills and abilities:

  • Experience scripting and story boarding videos documenting technical procedures, or personal interviews and voxpop segments.

  • creating content,includingcapturingproductUIscreens,recordingaudio,narrating, andediting videosend-to-endforonline publication:​​​​Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, DaVinci, Captivate, iMovie, After Effects, etc.

  • Experience managing video assets and publishingcontentintools,such as YouTubeand MicrosoftStream.

  • Showcase 8+ years of combined technical writing and/or video production experience in a highly technical industry such as software orhardware.

  • Hold a 4-year degree in communications field: English, Journalism, Graphic Design, Video Production or equivalent experience

  • Experience with Knowledge Centered Service (KCS®) and KCS coaching. KCS Fundamentals or v6 Practices certification desirable

Other skills/attributes that will be useful:

  • to work outside of core business hours including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Self-starter, resourceful, able to work independently or in a collaborative environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, both oral and written.

  • Ability to work in a global team across all geographies respecting differences in culture, experience, and ways of working.

  • Constantly advocate for documentation practices and UX improvements aimed at increasing inclusivity & accessibility and respecting & elevating diversity.

  • Aggressively highlight existing shortcomings, gaps, and opportunities to raise the bar.

  • Experience with user survey design and feedback systems a plus; Qualtrics, Gainsight, Medallia, etc.

  • Strong time management skills.

  • Scope long term projects and manage time & resources to deliver on projected deadlines.

The annual base pay for this position is: $121,362.00 - $182,042.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
