Be responsible for providing technical expertise as a program team leader in the identification and development of new products. You will lead the design effort and be technically responsible for the project. You will provide reports to internal and customer senior stakeholders. You will lead proposals to address future business opportunities, value engineering, and program/process changes. Act as a key focal point for driving and implementing goals and objectives and are recognized by business management as a primary technical authority
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as Technical Lead for the mechanical design of electric motors, generators, and gearboxes
- Mentoring and guiding designers on multiple different platforms to solve complex design problems.
- Act as a System Integration Design Lead to coordinate the efforts of a large group of designers, including module leads, during the development phase of a gas turbine engine.
- Drive schedule, BOM management, layout, design sprints, and module design coordination.
- Imagine, design, and develop products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team.
- You will collaborate across Honeywell Aerospace engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
- You will participate in all phases of product development and will be a coach and mentor to less experienced engineers.
- Refine your engineering talents in a team-based culture by working with innovative products and technologies.

U.S. CITIZEN REQUIREMENTS
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- 15+ years of mechanical design engineering experience
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design with NX design tool including modeling and drafting
- Prior experience as a systems design lead
- Must be a US Citizen due to ITAR restrictions
WE VALUE
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- Experience in high-speed rotating equipment design including electric motors, generators, turbomachinery, gear trains, and mechanical systems.
- Proven application of ASME Y14.5 drawing standards including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience in Conceptual Design, Preliminary Design and Detailed Design phases.
- Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
- Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in coordinating and overseeing successful projects.
