In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop teams of Mortgage Sales Managers, Mortgage Sales consultants and Support staff
- Engage and influence business partners, management, or supervisory staff to maintain a balance between day to day, high level operational execution and development of the strategic direction of the Mortgage Consumer Direct Sales functional area
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improving accountability for performance and business results within Mortgage Consumer Direct Sales functional area
- Direct work towards achievement of sales, process execution, customer service, risk, compliance, recruiting and retention goals, and overall effectiveness
- Determine appropriate strategies and actions of Mortgage Consumer Sales Direct team to meet moderate to high risk deliverables
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for maintaining budget resources and quality services
- Collaborate with and influence business partners, management, or supervisory staff
- Coordinate and build relationships with business partners and ensure all Mortgage Consumer Direct Sales staff are properly trained
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Mortgage Consumer Direct Sales
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may include the offering/negotiating of terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction. As such, this position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results. Individuals in a SAFE position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of Mortgage Consumer Direct Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience

- Mortgage sales experience
- Experience in building strong teams with a culture focused on partnering across groups, customer service and focus on managing a pipeline
- Knowledge and understanding of sales prospecting and generating referrals
- Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships
- Experience building, motivating, developing, and retaining a sales leadership team and sales force
- Strong collaboration and partnering skills
- Strong risk management and compliance skills
- Data analysis experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
