Essential Responsibilities:

• Counsel product and business teams on GLBA, GDPR, US state, and global privacy laws, and developing AI regulations
• Develop and articulate global privacy strategy for PayPal’s mission to revolutionize commerce
• Ensure compliance with privacy regulations
• Provide key inputs as an industry leader and expert, staying ahead of legal trends and influencing industry standards.
• Influence long-term success strategy of the function, driving innovation and continuous improvement in legal practices.
• Coach and mentor team of subject matter experts

Minimum qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of relevant work experience and a Juris doctorate or equivalent degree
• Extensive experience counseling consumer tech companies on privacy compliance and privacy by design
• Expertise in global privacy regimes
• Familiarity with AI regulations
• Experience managing a team of attorneys

The US national annual pay range for this role is $232,000 to $398,750
