You will be directly involved in building great features with strong privacy protections for multiple products and services. You will analyze analytics requests, schemas, and user studies against established privacy guidance and policies. You will identify and effectively communicate (both written and verbal) privacy risk as well as suggest mitigations and privacy techniques to minimize data collected. Additionally, you will contribute to policy guidance and drive efficiency in our processes. This position requires someone with strong technical strengths and a passionate desire to protect people's privacy by providing insightful analysis of the privacy risks of data collection, and proposing mitigations to reduce or eliminate those risks while still shipping great products.A few responsibilities:* Analyze requests to collect, store, and use people’s data against established guidance and policies, including reviews of data schema, architecture, sandboxes, and user studies* Identify and communicate privacy risk to privacy engineers, legal, and leadership with your recommendations* Apply privacy principles and advocate for privacy-preserving methods while communicating with internal stakeholders* Partner with Privacy Engineering and Legal to develop domain-specific criteria for reviewing requests* Write and follow clear documentation so that our work can be accountable, repeated, predictable, measured, and improved* Identify gaps and drive improvements to Apple’s privacy policies and processes* Work with affiliated engineering teams to test and improve tooling used for data collection across the company
