What you will accomplish:
The product leader of the Homepage and Discovery team will have a huge impact on the public eBay brand and eBay’s growth trajectory. As the product leader of eBay’s flagship landing experience, define the team charter, set the strategic narrative, and define investment roadmap to power discovery and personalized exploration across all of eBay’s browsing surfaces.
Work closely with VPs and GMs globally on flagship events to elevate eBay’s brand, claim our place in cultural moments, and lead in the social commerce landscape.
Work with senior product, design, and engineering leaders to co-develop new, lovable eBay browsing experiences powered by state-of-the-art ML and Gen AI, starting with the Homepage but extending to landing pages from search, emails, events, and anywhere a shopper comes to eBay.
Lead, manage, and grow a team of consumer and ML PMs (managers and ICs) delivering these revamped shopping and browsing experiences on eBay’s web and mobile experiences.
Align the way eBay measures success for Homepage and Discovery with the customer journey. Unify these experiences with everyday touchpoints like emails, notifications, and events - when shoppers come to the Homepage or any landing surface, we should already know all about their journey with eBay.
What you will bring:
Strategic product leader with track record of execution: able to set a compelling vision that resonates across both ML practitioners and non-technical leaders, and bring together teams across functions to execute to win
Experience building and growing a team of product managers: preferably across both consumer-facing and ML or infra/platform product teams. A player-coach: You invest in people and care deeply about their development and career growth, and you also coach by setting an example of product excellence.
Entrepreneurial leader: led 0-to-1 products or major product revamps at large-scale consumer companies. You aim teams at innovating ahead of the industry landscape,and are able to excite and bring partners along with the vision
Customer empathy is core to your product management DNA. You build human-centered product experiences, and coach teams to solve customer problems
Preferred: Experience with ML personalization, or other algorithmically driven consumer experiences in social ecommerce, social media, or content platforms at scale. Experience in growth acquisition and retention strategy in consumer products at scale.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
