Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead editorial strategy and content generation for the bi-weekly global employee e-newsletter and other employee communications to deliver outstanding internal publications that inform and connect employees and strengthen our company culture.
- Collaborate with communications colleagues, including functional and business unit teams, editorial strategy, media relations, executive communications, social media and web development to define, drive and implement integrated communications and efficient content gathering strategies.
- Identify opportunities to share stories and content across internal and external communication channels, including the company intranet, Boston Scientific website and social media platforms, adapting content as needed.
- Establish company best practices and tools for creative internal communications and research new industry tools and techniques for benchmarking and continuous improvement. Maintain awareness and understanding of industry trends and best practices and share insights with corporate communications team.
- Support global communications strategy and execution for initiatives and programs. Advise on and create written communications, polished presentations, videos and succinct talking points.
- Provide project management and organizational support including cross-functional coordination and vendor management to ensure deliverables are high quality, on time and within budget.
- Learn, listen, understand and implement the voice of leadership and the Boston Scientific brand voice to maintain authenticity and style across all communications.
- Coordinate and manage the cross-functional review and approval of content.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or equivalent.
- Minimum of seven years of relevant internal and external communications, project coordination and content creation within a corporate or agency environment.
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and social media tools and channels.
- Proven ability to work with leadership teams and influence with credibility and business acumen on an ongoing basis, leading to successful communications strategies.
- Recognized skills for collaborating with global, cross-functional teams at all levels to achieve successful outcomes.
Preferred qualifications:
- Healthcare communications experience is preferred.
- Strategic with “sleeves rolled up” attitude and ability to balance the big picture with attention to detail on all communications.
- Solutions-oriented professional with a creative flare and willingness to propose new ideas and approaches.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and translate complex ideas into a digestible format.
- Understanding of how to communicate differing “calls to action” amongst varying audiences with distinct viewpoints.
- Excellent project management, organizational, planning and time-management skills.
- Bright “quick thinker” and self-starter.
- Adept at working in a team environment while also displaying independence, initiative and enterprise; ability to maintain high productivity while balancing competing priorities.
