Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans to support business goals.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of communication materials across various channels.
- Manage relationships with media, stakeholders, and partners to enhance the company's reputation.
- Analyze communication metrics and adjust strategies to improve effectiveness.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align communication efforts with corporate objectives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the communications team, fostering professional growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in communications or public relations (PR agency experience a plus)
- Previous financial communications experience required
- Past success managing and executing strategic communications campaigns and working with media to build brand awareness and reputation
- Well organized, detail oriented, and adaptable
- Excellent writing and project management skills
- Strong interest in consumer brands, finance, and commerce
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment
- Ability to respond quickly to changing business needs
- Good judgment and attention to detail – particularly in high pressure times
- Excellent ability to understand complex ideas and distill sometimes ambiguous issues
- Trustworthy and able to keep highly sensitive information confidential
