Senior Platform Engineer (Tableau or Quicksight)

General Responsibilities:

• Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios

• Continuously improve software engineering practices

• Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies

• Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience and scalability of your solutions

• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community

• Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity

• Utilize scripting languages like Python, SQL, Ruby and groovy, Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 4 years of experience in programming or scripting (Python, Spark, PySpark, SQL, React, Javascript, HTML, or JSON)

• At least 3 years of experience with data visualization tools (Tableau or Quicksight)

• At least 1 year of experience with AWS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree

• 2+ years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer Certification

• 2+ years experience with data storage, data modeling and data access patterns

McLean, VA: $127,500 - $145,500 for Senior Platform Engineer Plano, TX: $115,900 - $132,200 for Senior Platform Engineer Richmond, VA: $115,900 - $132,200 for Senior Platform Engineer San Francisco, CA: $139,100 - $158,700 for Senior Platform EngineerThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
