Job Duties: Lead and participate in the design and implementation of analytics software infrastructure to align with the vision and business requirements of eBay Platform Infrastructure. Design, develop, and implement open-source distributed computing platform technology for Hadoop related projects. Provide technical consultancy to engineers on Hadoop Map Reduce and Spark development. Drive software improvements and development of features for open-source technology for patent filing and open-source community contributions. Design and implement technical solutions to support the ecosystem of Analytics Infrastructure. Work with engineering teams to design and develop innovative technical software solutions that are robust, scalable, and efficient. Telecommuting permitted – work can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Applied Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered as a software engineer, or three (3) years of experience in the field of software/database engineering or program analysis or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Applied Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered as a software engineer, or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software/database engineering or program analysis.

Base salary: $165,000-205,700 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
