Job Summary
Financial Reporting AVPs help supervise a team’s preparation of monthly, semi-annual and annual reports for mutual funds in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements. Additionally, they oversee the analysis, monitoring, and implementation of budgets for our clients, and ensure fund expenses are paid in a timely manner. AVPs:
- Are the primary contact for clients; respond proactively to internal and external client inquiries
- Manage the preparation of financial statements and review SEC filings (e.g. N-CSR, N-CEN, N-1A, 24F-2)
- Are responsible for timely and accurate budgeting and expense payments
- Are the primary owner of the annual audit process
- Oversee preparation of quarterly Board reports
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of mutual funds and financial markets
- Lead training sessions to increase the team’s knowledge
- Coordinate fund year-end tax reporting
- Identify and/or implement process improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency
- Oversee client reporting
- Manage various projects
- Participate in committees and other department initiatives
Qualifications
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related area or equivalent work experience
- 5-7 years accounting or reporting experience in the registered investment company or financial services industry
- Prior team lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Advanced experience working with Microsoft Office applications required, especially Excel

- Develop/deliver executive summary reporting to senior management and clients
- Strong technical writing skills
- Oversee projects effectively
