participate in the estimating, tracking, start-up and commission of projects, and will be the customer interface for all technical requirements of assigned projects. You will provide expertise and knowledge throughout the system or service project lifecycle on customer sites. Our Commissioning Technician’s technical expertise, project oversight, and customer interaction contribute to efficient project execution, satisfied clients, and optimized long-term performance of systems.
As a Commissioning Technician, you will:
Attend pre-booking meetings to understand sales estimates, project scope, and system requirements by analyzing plans, specifications, and contract details.
Forecast labor and material costs, develop and maintain project schedules, and coordinate with the project team to meet time-sensitive installation needs. Manage subcontractor coordination and customer communication.
Oversee the requisition and tracking of supplies and materials, ensuring resource and project progress are on track.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues by debugging software, diagnosing electrical or installation problems, and providing effective solutions.
Organize and maintain comprehensive job documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide on-site support for programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning, and validation processes. Conduct final job site walk-throughs, complete job closeout documentation, deliver customer training, and act as a technical resource for both customers and field employees.

Basic Qualifications:
3+ years’ combined experience in the installation, maintenance, programming, commissioning, and/or managing projects of commercial fire alarm systems
Be able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years’ experience in the installation, maintenance, programming, and commissioning of commercial Fire Systems
NICET Certification
Ability to read/understand design and construction documents
Associate or Bachelor's degree
