Key Job Responsibilities· Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to develop, design, and bring to market innovative devices, services and software applications· Work in teams or as a lead to deliver medium to large software development projects, collaborate with other engineers, partners, Technical program managers, Product managers and User Interface design and Quality Assurance engineers.
Be a technical adviser to stakeholders and provide technical information and guidance to leaders.
Lead and contribute to operational excellence initiatives and ensure smooth operational execution and monitoring of Software components
A day in the life
As a SDE on the team, you will collaborate with other developers, product managers, technical program managers, team manager and Quality Assurance engineers to understand product and software requirements, come up with design and implementation plans clarifying any ambiguity. Use team and stakeholders to review the design/implementation. Work with TPMs to provide estimates. Participate in Team Sprint planning and execution as well as retrospectives. Be available as On-call when it is the engineer's turn and take care of on-call operational maintenance items. Write documentation for design, implementations, APIs, etc. Mentor other engineers.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Android software stack and Application development expertise
