Today
- Conduct PCB reworks, test and validate your own work
- Assemble test setups & conduct data collection with electronic assemblies and consumer electronics devices
- Assist lab management team with overall upkeep and support of engineering lab spaces
- Work to resolve issues and identify areas for suggested improvement
- Actively maintain Health and Safety compliance of lab spaces
- Proficiency with configuring and operating electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, meters, function generators, power supplies, etc.) and must be able to actively work in a lab environment on new and repetitive tasks.
- Soldering skills: J-STD-001 certification or better (focused on surface-mount microsoldering rework) and have familiarity with basic circuit design, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to execute consumer electronics device test setup tasks, data collection, and results compilation using scripting and test automation.
- Experience with MacOS computers and digital productivity tools (Numbers/Excel, Keynote, etc.)
- Ability to make revisions and improvements to Python, MATLAB, and bash scripts
- Experience operating metrology & test equipment (Keyence, Instron, robotic systems etc.)
- Familiarity with board layout design tools such as Cadence Allegro, Altium, or similar
- Knowledge of ESD safe work procedures, and basic chemical hazards (adhesives, solvents, 3D print resin, etc.)
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $44.57 and $67.32/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
