  • Drive the continued improvement of early project planning documents such as project timelines, Requests for Quotations, FMEA’s and Safety Risk Assessments
  • Lead the development and introduction of processes and equipment associated with early prototype builds and highlighting key process and equipment improvement opportunities throughout the prototype builds themselves
  • Work closely with Tesla’s partner vendors to develop world-class production lines with unprecedented simplicity, density, speed, and automation
  • Lead the installation, commissioning, and ramp of high-volume production lines, ensuring close collaboration with Tesla’s partner vendors to deliver the line in the shortest possible time and lowest possible cost
  • Initiate and drive strategies to rapidly ramp the quality and rate of newly launched production lines to full capacity with a focus on maintaining the highest of safety standards throughout the ramp duration
  • Build on the success of existing line layouts, processes, and tooling to further improve material flow, waste reduction, safety, and ergonomics by utilizing lean manufacturing best practices and structured problem-solving methodologies
What You’ll Bring

  • Strong familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and 8D
  • Extensive hands-on experience with modifying jigs, fixtures, and coordinating equipment installations
  • Strong understanding of BOMs, OEE, manufacturability, DFM, process design, process validation, assembly methods, design reviews and cost reduction methodologies
  • Experience with AUTOCAD, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, and other similar software/tools
