As a Business Control Manager (BCM) Vice President for QR within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will be responsible for leading a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment for the business. You will identify and escalate issues with urgency and collaborate with the business to ensure timely remediation. Your role involves assisting in top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted control advisor to the Front Office, preparing them for internal and external examinations and audits.
- Own and ensure the delivery of strategic control initiatives, including oversight of ad hoc analytical requests and business projects.
- Conduct timely reviews of incidents with key stakeholders to agree on root causes and deliver control deep dives and remedial actions.
- Liaise with firmwide functions to represent CIB/Front Office's interests in control and regulatory initiatives.
- Evaluate and perform end-to-end analysis of the business’s risk and control environment to identify significant gaps and weaknesses.
- Review issues and action plans in CORE, ensuring material risks are properly mitigated.
- Facilitate the execution of various Front Office supervisory controls, attestations, and exception management.
- Collaborate with global QR teams to drive transformation and influence outcomes in complex business scenarios.
- Create high-quality presentations for Business Reviews, Control Committees, and strategic meetings.
- Communicate effectively with business partners to drive project next steps.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- 7 years of professional experience in the financial services industry with a background in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, compliance, or model governance.
- Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment.
- Understanding of model governance.
