What you will accomplish:

• Design, implement and manage world class self-healing Cloud Platform / Frameworks

• Adapt the latest open source tools and technologies for use in the eBay context

• Lead and collaborate with internal and external technical leaders to deliver business critical Platforms

What you will bring:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years’ experience and strong computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.

• Knowledge on container and clustering technologies like Docker, Kubernetes. development experience on Kubernetes framework is a plus.

• Expert in Golang or other Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, Linux experience is highly desirable, experience on Linux Kernel OS, KVM and Hardware System such as PXE, IPMI, BIOS, BMC, RAID are a plus.

• Experience implementing large scale, distributed, high availability, fault-tolerant systems and infrastructure in a production environment, Deep understanding of API design and RESTful principles, experience in building web services at scale.

• Experience in delivering products in a multi-functional team environment and ability to learn new products and programming languages quickly

• Excellent problem-solving skills, can triage and resolve critical tech issues without supervision

• High standards for development quality, especially on unit testing, TDD / BDT, and automated testing

• Experience in participating in open-source standards and contributing to open source is highly desirable, Background in Cloud technologies and frameworks, like OpenStack and GCP, AWS is a plus.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$149,200 - $234,850
