What to Expect

Consider before applying: This position is expected to start around January and continue through April/May. Internships are in-person for 40 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks. Please consider before submitting an application.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week. Many students will be limited to part-time depending on their academic standing.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop detailed test plans to validate Tesla’s User Interface software
  • Develop test scripts to automate the User Interface
  • Develop framework to improve automation pipeline
  • Validate vehicle functionality
  • Identify effective test strategies for new features being delivered to customers
  • Improve existing vehicle testing strategies
  • Integrate existing automation results with daily/weekly reports
  • Investigate issues reported by customers in the field, internal test engineers, and your own testing
  • Execute functional and regression tests as a part of release testing and triage results
  • Find software bugs through manual testing, automated scripting, and report investigation
What You’ll Bring
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field with a gradation date between 2025 - 2026
  • Experience in software testing and automated scripting
  • Demonstrable experience solving difficult QA problems (scalability, reliability, reporting, parallelization, etc)
  • Passionate about troubleshooting failures to determine root cause
  • Experience in designing automation frameworks and developing test automation software.
  • Comfortable with Linux environments and hardware-based testing setups
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, Perl or Bash
