Intel Electrical Project Engineer - Global Construction Engineering United States, Arizona, Phoenix 552731578
This is a hybrid position at the Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona. Training assignments may be required at other domestic or international locations.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Being consulted for any major construction project related to facilities power systems.
- Assess the feasibility of new projects.
- Develop detailed scope through field walks and collaboration with facilities operations partners and project engineers from other disciplines.
- Serve as the Owner's representative to provide technical guidance and issue resolution during detailed design and construction.
- Interface and coordinate with contract design, construction, scheduling, and estimating resources.
- Interface with facilities staff and project managers to enable facility design efforts.
- Define design criteria, lead scope definition and justification, develop design concepts, and oversee completion of positioning, programming, and detailed design.
- Work with estimators to ensure costs are captured and project budgets are met.
- Improve standards and drive innovative solutions.
- Collaborate and share learnings with counterparts at other sites across the globe.
- Build and drive safety culture of caring in every business environment and all design and construction phases.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have at least one of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field with 7+ years of experience on design and construction of electrical power systems. OR
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field with 5+ years of experience on design and construction of electrical power systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Focus on industrial, semiconductor, and cleanroom projects.
- 3+ years of experience in Leading a team.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical systems such as medium voltage, low voltage, emergency power systems, critical (UPS) power systems, lighting systems, and heat trace systems.
- Professional Engineer status.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction contract documents.
- 1-line diagrams and BIM (3D modeling).
- ATEX and EPD requirements.
- Power modeling databases such as EasyPower or SKM is preferred.
