CONFLICTS RESOLUTION GROUP
The Conflicts Resolution Group (CRG) evaluates a wide range of the firm’s business activities, including advisory, financing, principal investing, lending and certain other activities, in order to identify, assess, and manage actual or perceived conflicts of interest resulting from the firm’s new and existing roles, positions, and responsibilities, as well as reputational risks. CRG determines from a conflicts of interest perspective whether the revenue businesses may continue to pursue a transaction (subject to further review by CRG and other control functions and committees) and may impose limitations or conditions which are monitored by CRG. In doing so, the CRG helps to protect the firm’s client relationships, safeguard confidential information, mitigate reputational risk, and ensure that we are able to fulfill our responsibilities to clients prior to accepting a role and over the course of our engagement.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and initiate new checks, including coordinating with businesses to ensure accuracy and completeness of information
  • Conduct due diligence of business opportunities by considering the firm’s current and historical assignments, positions and economic exposures, and other touch points with relevant transaction parties
  • Identify potential issues and report findings to the CRG
  • Monitor and update the status of previously cleared opportunities using information from public sources, deal teams, and internal reporting tools
  • Document the elements of review for each conflict check in the CRG’s proprietary database

Qualifications:

  • 4 - 7 years of work experience, preferably in the financial or legal sectors
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to process and analyze high volumes of information
  • Commercial savviness with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact directly with a wide group of professionals at different levels of seniority across the firm
  • Ability to work in close coordination with others as part of a global team
  • Proactive and self-motivated mindset
