Position Responsibilities:
• Lead safe work practices of both JACOBS staff and subcontractors which includes implementation of JACOBS Beyond Zero program.
• Communicate effectively with people leaders! Solid experience managing large and technically diverse teams with proven ability to motivate employees.
• Project management experience capable of succeeding in cost controls, budgeting, scoping, planning, estimating, procurement, scheduling, change management, tracking, contractor dispute resolution, and leadership of other people leaders.
• Supportive of and able to engage/lead the Jacobs culture ensuring success internally and with the client.
• Provide inspection of facilities and work; planning, programming, and scheduling; repair and maintenance; quality control and preventative maintenance.
• Implement appropriate cost control; records, reports, contract compliance; procurement; subcontracting.
• Coordinate work priorities and monitoring of methods and procedures to improve cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Facilitate change orders, out of scope work and subcontracts with client and subcontractors as required.
• Direct recurring repairs, service, and maintenance work, resolve technical problems.
• Develop annual financial forecasts.
• Monitor cost control, financial reports, budgeting, and overall operating costs.
• Monitor and inspect maintenance, repair and service operations for quality control and contract compliance.
• Hire administrative and maintenance personnel.
• Ensure management and contract reports are accurate before submission to corporate management and client.
• Develop contingency, emergency operation, safety, fire prevention and property maintenance management plans in concert with owner's plan.
• Manage Out of Scope (OOS) work ensuring OOS agreements are in place, reviewed/approved by appropriate parties (i.e., Commercial, Safety, etc.) and invoiced correctly.
• Manage relationships with client VP of Finance and Leadership.
• Review and approve bi-weekly invoice for labor and non-labor expenses ensuring accurate revenue capture and forecasting.
• Manage billing justification to ensure invoice back up support is available and accurate.
• Manage the project toolkit timely and collaborate with Commercial Team on budget to actual variances.
• Review project expenditures ensuring accurate coding.
• Oversee project procurement process:
o Manage project vehicle fleet, including costs.
• Provide monthly tracking and review of KPIs with Program Manager.
• Ensure that client requests are completed in a timely manner and communicate updates to the client promptly.
• Ensure project stays within the established budget, monitor/report/mitigate any significant positive or negative variances from budget.
• Maintain project gross margin per established forecast.
• 5 years progressive professional leadership, business and/or related experience.
• Experience in financial management, automotive manufacturing or other institutional facilities
• 5 years supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions
• Be open to travel at least 50% of the time
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
• High School Diploma
• Associates (2-Year Degree) or better
• CFM, PMP or similar related certificate preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
The work area can involve a working environment indoors, as well as, outdoors which could cause exposure to outdoor elements; proper environmental attire will be required. Some areas can have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, pathogens and various chemicals. Safety is of the utmost importance. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination when preparing reports and using a computer keyboard, have vision sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents and operate office equipment, have hearing in the normal range with or without correction. In an 8-hour time period must be able to transport self across the facility, ascend and descend stair steps, lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height, wear and use appropriate safety equipment.
