In this position, you'll develop contracts for FDOT roadway maintenance: Asset Maintenance, periodic, routine, and emergency maintenance contracts. • Review project plans and technical documents for compliance with contract and requirements.
• Develop and review cost estimates.
• Research and propose resolution of contract issues.
• Assist in the development and perform reviews of FDOT standards, procedures and specifications.
• Responsible for assisting in the scheduling, planning and implementation of the Turnpike roadway contracts program.
• Administration & Field Guide for maintenance contracts
• Review and coordinate updates to the guide as needed
• Oversee contract renewal and supplemental agreement process from initial contact with contractor through execution of renewal. • Develop and prepare supplemental agreements and other contract amendments.
• Coordinate legal review of all supplemental agreements, modified special provisions or other documents as needed and resolve any concerns.
• Ensure contract renewal process is completed on schedule.
• Ensuring contract compliance and efficient contract administration.
• Reviewing MMS data submitted by the Contract Managers for accuracy.
• Performing the quarterly MMS quality reviews
• Updating the Quality Assurance Review manual as needed.
• Review expenditure reports on active contracts.
• Oversee invoice processing and adherence to timeliness requirements.
• Coordinate and assist with Contractor Field Performance Report (CFPR) reviews.
• District Administrator for FDOT’s AASHTO Ware system with responsibility for troubleshooting issues and ensuring data integrity.
• Interface with contractors and technical support personnel including designers, engineers, project, and contract managers.
• Participate in Pre-Work conferences with the successful bidders to go over the Department’s expectations and contract requirements.
• Provide contract preparation and administration services for various Office of Toll Operations contracts.
• Coordinate contract specifications with Contract Managers.
• Serve as FTE representative for Production Meetings, MIG Meetings and Task Teams as assigned.
• Serve as EOC System Administrator to ensure DBE compliance is being met.
• Attend FTE Production Meetings
• Serve as Administrator of Contracts SharePoint sites.
• Participate in emergency management operations.
• Ensure all Pre-event contracts are executed and ready to activate prior to each Hurricane Season.
• Maintain emergency contract templates for pre-established scopes of work.
• Ensure Statewide Dashboard is kept updated.
• Serve as lead Project Manager for all Emergency and Pre-event contracts, ensuring contracts are properly documented.
• Assist with emergency damage assessment reporting and coordination
• Additional responsibilities as required by the client.
- 5-10 years of experience required
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
- Must have a valid Florida’s Driver’s License with no major infractions.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
