As a member of the SwiftUI team, you’ll act as a both an engineer and manager to deliver new features and elegant APIs that surprise and delight our users.As an engineer, you will be responsible for bringing your ideas to life through all stages of their development: from initial research, to API design and proposals, to testing and development in Swift, to documentation and offering guidance to adopters. You’ll join us in energetic discussions on each other’s work and ideas, alongside members of other teams possessing a variety of different perspectives and domain expertise.As a manager, you will foster the growth, productivity, and well-being of your team—some more experienced and some less experienced than you—through the highs and lows of the creative process. You will be responsible for project planning, inter-team coordination, and ultimate delivery of your team’s features. You’ll take an active role in hiring to help grow a world-class and diverse SwiftUI team. To be effective you’ll need to forge and maintain strong relationships with our numerous partner teams.
  • Experience with framework and API development
  • Enthusiasm for both technical leadership and people leadership
  • Proficiency with Swift
  • Bachelorʼs Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience with any of the following is a plus, but not required:
  • People management and technical leadership
  • SwiftUI and Swift Standard Library design patterns
  • Cocoa and Objective-C
  • Other declarative UI frameworks
  • Programming language design and implementation
  • UI/UX design
  • AI/ML and data visualization
  • Technical writing
  • Open-source software projects
