As a Principal Software Engineer, you will work as an architect on designing, evangelizing and building complete security solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on one or more services for designing Threat Intelligence services for Microsoft. This will be highly scalable services that will secure customers high value assets and digital assets.To be successful in this role, you will have a great track record of leading an efficient engineering team and delivering quality results to customers, an innate aptitude for agility, and technical excellence in large fundamental cloud engineering.

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience authoring backend services using C# or Java.

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience working on large scale cloud applications, distributed systems, and backend development.
• 2+ years of experience designing distributed, NRT (near real-time) or Big Data systems

• Architecture, evangelization, design, development, of a new ground up threat intelligence service.
• Leadership of initiatives to deliver complex features, improve product quality, and transform team operations.
• Introduction of state-of-the-art technologies to the team and technical mentorship of team members
• Design and develop features for large scale distributed software services and solutions.
• Be the technical champion in the team with industry research, go technologically deep, by ensuring that the services and the components are well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable.
• Identification and implementation of tools to improve team quality and productivity
• Collaboration with Product Managers, Architects, and security experts on new features.
