Strategy and Transactions – Transactions and Corporate Finance, Quantitative Finance & Economics – Senior

As a member of our national team, you’ll work on a broad variety of financial instruments and perform analyses for many purposes including assisting clients with their corporate finance strategy, M&A transactions, and regulatory reporting, to name a few. You’ll be working in an intensive learning environment in which you will be a key team member developing new solutions and models, performing research and analyses, raising issues and challenging assumptions. You will be seen as an expert in quantitative finance and in the analysis and valuation of complex financial instruments. Your key responsibilities

  • Advising clients on corporate finance and the valuation of complex financial instruments
  • Conducting research on the fixed income and equity markets and on individual companies
  • Developing valuation models, including binomial lattice and Monte Carlo simulation models
  • Using our proprietary valuation models for valuing financial instruments, estimating market parameters and inputs for valuation models
  • Analyzing financial instruments using data visualization tools, modern statistics, and machine learning techniques
  • Presenting your results and findings to the team and to clients
  • Analyzing and performing due diligence on credit and expected losses
  • Working with clients to establish valuation processes and documentation

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 1-2 years of related work experience; or an advance degree (master’s or Ph D.) in a quantitative discipline, such as finance, mathematics, statistics, financial engineering, engineering or economics
  • Demonstrated aptitude to quantitative and qualitative analysis of financial instruments which may include options, warrants, fixed income & hybrid securities, structured products and other derivatives
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, R, Matlab, or VBA
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, or Capital IQ is a plus
  • Experience in developing web-based applications and working with large datasets is a plus
  • Ability to work within a given budget and schedule, providing top-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team prioritizing multiple tasks, deadlines, and project stakeholders
  • A strong work ethic, strong communications skills, and demonstrate an ability to work in a dynamic environment full of new challenges and ideas
  • The flexibility and the willingness to travel occasionally

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Achievement of or significant progress towards a CFA, FRM, PRM or ASA/AM designation is a plus, with an expectation of the completion of one designation within a given timeframe.

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $112,000 to $210,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
