- Perform the duties of the Works Inspector on site in accordance with the construction Contract and will include inter alia
- Daily/weekly/monthly monitoring of operations carried out by the contractor, including inspection of the works and review of the quality control measures in use by the Contractor.
- Record day-to-day activities of the contractor with respect to rate of progress.
- Inspect materials to be used by the contractor, including compliance with the specifications.
- Monitor the competence, efficiency and validity of the personnel and plant used by the Contractor.
- Monitor the contractor’s QHSE aspects of work and ensure compliance with approved respective plans.
- Measurement of works that are executed by contractor and keeping the record of the same.
- Inspecting setting out and survey works whenever it is required.
- Acts as prime point of contact with the Resident Engineer (respective discipline) for all of the above activities.
- Builds a trusted relationship with the Supervision Team members and with the Contractor’s counterpart staff.
Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
