The Technology Lead Business Analyst serves as a bridge between business users and technology teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. This role is part of the Cross Asset Margin team, responsible for calculating margin requirements for OTC bilateral derivatives and optimizing margin requirements for clients by considering offsets across various financial products.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high volume applications in partnership with business partners and stakeholders
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Technology, Operations and MQA to gather and document margin and collateral requirements
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements
- Conduct gap analysis and assist in designing solutions for process improvements
- Document and communicate requirements through user stories and/or BRD/FRD
- Manage scrum team, ensure agile best practices are followed, and facilitate sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives
- Co-ordinate with offshore teams to align on project priorities and ensure timely delivery
- Effectively communicate requirements and plans to cross-functional team members and management
- Perform user acceptance testing and provide demos to Business stakeholders to receive sign-offs
- Ensure timely and high-quality project deliverables by proactively identifying risks and managing dependencies
- Contribute to formulation of strategies/processes for Product Road map, Development and Governance and contribute to defining standards and new automation initiatives
- Develop communication to guide, influence and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and external customers
- Provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business and filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 8 to 12 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
- Strong financial industry experience, particularly in trading and risk management
- Deep understanding of financial products (e.g., Derivatives, Repos, etc.)
- Knowledge of Margining concepts
- Risk background preferred
- Proficiency in tools like SQL, Excel, and workflow documentation software
- Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact by weighing various action plans and balancing potentially conflicting needs
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
- Certifications (e.g. CFA, FRM) preferred
