Our engineers are responsible for delivery of complex construction packages including tool installation design. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget and schedule for assigned tasks, you’ll effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly. You’ll coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. You may have supervision of less experienced engineering and design staff. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team may produce single-line diagrams depicting electrical power systems 480V through 208Y/120V, installation details, electric room layouts, tool installation connection diagrams, cable schedules, power plans, lighting plans, breaker coordination studies, and Arc Flash / Short-Circuit Current studies. You will support senior engineers in selection and specification of electrical equipment. You may also be asked to provide on-site assistance during startups.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy from an ABET accredited University.
- Minimum 6 years of Electrical Engineering experience related to facility engineering.
- Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Familiarity of design and construction specifications
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Knowledge and application of other NFPA codes and industry standards
- Working knowledge of CAD and/or BIM modeling software
- Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain in the State of Idaho
- Experience leading a small team
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

- This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Boise, ID.
- Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours – nominally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility based on ability of site to support and employee preference.

- Physical Requirements:
- Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs.
